For the HO25 Nike x Martine Rose collection, gamers are redefined as modern heroes—figures of precision, focus, and creative energy. Inspired by gaming as a “modern arena,” the collection is designed for players as athletes who compete, connect, and move together.
Ahead of the official launch, the collection arrived in Seoul on Oct 29th to energize and spotlight the city’s gaming and fashion communities, delivering a collective experience that celebrated the evolving crossover between sport, play, and culture. To achieve that, Worksout teamed up with Mouse Potato, the community hub of gamers in Seoul, co-hosted an event by the name of ‘Playroom Seoul’.
The event took over the entire Worksout Apgujeong flagship store, featuring a full product showcase alongside an EA FC tournament and console gaming booths with participation from Martine Rose fans and consumers rooted in football jersey culture as well.
A talk session followed, bringing together Martine Rose, leading Korean fashion and sneaker media, Worksout’s F&F, and fashion schoolstudents aspiring to become future designers.The night continued with a winner’s ceremony, where the EA FC tournament champion received a product personally gifted by Martine Rose, followed by live DJ sets by selected local DJs. Despite being held on a weekday, the event unfolded into an energetic night where sneakers, fashion, gaming culture, and music converged. While this marked Martine Rose’s first visit to Korea, arriving somewhat later than expected given the long-standing support from the local community, she and her team shared their intention to return to Seoul as soon as possible. SHOX MR4’s 1 week ST marked 94% out of 33 units in Worksout. And the event was also covered by more than 10 major communications partners, including Hypebeast, Vogue, and Dazed, generating a potential reach of 20.5 million.
